Secret however lie in the fact that the user must be aware.

The points in the form of timesaving tips will definitely help the user to choose a dedicated web hosting along with saving an ample of time. These points or suggestions are given below:

    Suggestions:

    1. Managed Dedicated Server

In case, someone possess his/her own dedicated server there is need for someone else to manage it. Hence, one is having 2 possible routes to choose. One can either give priority to a managed server or comprise a hosting company that handles all form of details, maintenance, updating etc. Otherwise, one can call for an administrator to tackle this maintenance for him/her. The final option is that the user can manage it by himself/herself, i.e., if the user is skilled in such sort of things. If one talks about the core side, then hiring an administrator will cost the user additional bucks as well. Despite, if the user has a managed dedicated server installed he/she should know beforehand who has taken the role of maintenance and further details to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently with as little downtime as feasible.

    2. Identify the Details

It is required by every user that he/she should be aware about all the details regarding his/her dedicated server along with his/her web host. If the user is aware about all the details he/she can easily understand what to do in which situation. If the user is not aware about the details when he/she indulges himself/herself in a contract with a devoted web host then it is similar as to inviting the trouble by own. To save oneself from such sort of things the user should make sure that he/she knows everything about the equipment, and the things like who is liable for what, strategy if any problems arise.

    3. Support

The third and major key element that the user should be aware of is to save the time when problems arise i.e. the type of support he/she has from his/her web host. The host should be like the one who provides supreme support i.e., 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year. If the web host is not offering this then the user should migrate towards an alternative option because of the reason that some problems seem to arise after hours and not weekends or holidays.

At the end, as the user has become familiar to these timesaving tips and he/she will be in a better position to select a dedicated web host who matches his/her businesses needs. Moreover, as one is already aware of everything in advance he/she will never have any problems dealing with situations that occur due to his/her web host because of the reason that the user is now ready for every sort of challenge.

  • Getting New Web Hosting Service for your Web Site

Posted on March 18th, 2009 admin No comments
    Web Host asked:

Due to Various inefficiencies of Old Web Hosting provider like poor technical support, down web server, inability of old provider to met with your requirements, expensive web hosting service, an Online Business owner decided to go for a new Web Hosting provider. Because of all above-mentioned and many more not in the list you would opt for new web hosting service. So the next step is to transfer your web site from current web host to new web host which can be done by following the under mentioned steps. Transferring of Schedule For transferring the old web hosting, planning should be done in advance, atleast one month before so as to ensure smooth transfer, as transferring in less than one month can led to inaccessibility of your web site.

    Registering new web hosting service.

Once the above step is complete, user must go for a new web hosting service and must sign it accordingly within 24 hours so as to enable new account earliest.

    Taking Files Backup.

As soon as you created a new web hosting account, you should take back up of all your web files for the new provider. Generally you already have all files of your web site on your local computer still it is beneficial to backup all your files from old web server. Further including HTML files, backup of any script file, database file and even of server logs file should be taken. Thereafter create a directory structure similar to directory structure on web server and then load the file in their respective directory.

    Uploading of files

You will receive a notification email from your new web-hosting provider after the notification of your new web hosting account. Information needed to set up a website including FTP server information all will be provided within that email. With the help of that FTP information user can now FTP his new web-hosting server and can upload all his files. First the user should create a directory structure and then can upload all his files in their respective directories. User can also install any script file or databases if used in his website and also should setup his email accounts with the help of administration panel.

After finishing of uploading of all the files and installation of script files or databases temporary URL can be used to test the new site. This temporary URL can be obtained from through notification email from new web hosting provider.

    Testing of new website

The new website can be tested online by using temporarily URL directory. As different web hosting server require different server environment to work, that's why user needs to verify all the scripts like CGI, Perl if they are working as per the requirement or not. Further all the hyperlinks should be tested in the normal web pages so as to confirm that no broken links are there. Your website hosted on the old web hosting provider is continued to be operational, even when you are testing through the temporary URL directory. Transferring of domain name After finishing of testing new website on the temporary URL and verification of its perfect execution, next step is to contact the new domain name registrar so as to change the old domain name server to point the new DNS of the web hosting provider. There after the user will get DNS information through email after he finishes the successful registration with new web hosting provider and also would get the information from website of his new web hosting provider. The purpose of Domain name servers is to control how to resolve the domain name. Commonly the domain names are in following format:

    NS1.THE-NEW-WEB-HOSTING.COM

    NS2.THE-NEW-WEB-HOSTING.COM

Some domain name registrar requires the IP addresses of the DNS. In this case you have to provide the IP addresses of your new DNS. For example:

    NS1: 216.193.194.212

    NS2: 216.193.207.106

DNS record to change and propagate through all the WHOIS servers takes typically 24 to 72 hours. Whois tools such as whois.com can be use on Internet to monitor the status of DNS transfer. New DNS will be displayed once the transfer is complete. Even minor modifications are possible like the user can upload his own file or picture to the new web-hosting server. When the user checks his homepage through the normal domain name he can notice the new home page, which makes sure that transfer of DNS is successful. Final Testing Now, your website on the new web hosting provider is officially transferred and online. You should repeat all the tests to ensure it is fully functional.Thereafter you can go ahead to terminate your old web hosting account after the final confirmation is received.

  • Build Websites That are Easy Way to Create

Posted on March 12th, 2009 admin No comments
    reet.nh2009 asked:

I was recently asked by a potential client why I recommended Joomla! to be used for building their website.

Let me explain the benefits of using Joomla versus using anything else, and by anything else I mean comparing building a website using some type of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, such as Frontpage or Dreamweaver, or building a website with a comparative type of software package.

    1. Joomla! is a Content Management system, which means that it is built to ensure that website pages can easily be maintained and updated. more visit to :-www.instant-website-security.com This includes for example, adding new pages or removing pages. This is the main advantage above building a website in straight forward HTML that would normally be the end product of using some type of HTML editor.

    2. But why Joomla? Why not something else like a Microsoft based product or another commercial product?

    - Joomla is Open Source, which means that there are no licensing fees payable, that you have often pay for a Microsoft product or a commercial product

    - Because Joomla is Open Source, there is a huge pool of community resources available to provide support. The Joomla community is huge worldwide as well as in local countries, there are often local user groups which are very well supported often even in small countries such as South Africa. There is an enormous pool of people supporting the product. The forum on the Joomla.org site has over 200 000 members all providing support and input into making Joomla! a better product.

    - There are millions of sites worldwide (about 10 Million if you do a guestimate using Google) that runs on Joomla. It is therefore extremely popular and widely used which also means that it will never be difficult to find developers and people to support it.

    - Because it is so popular, more visite to :-www.instant-squeeze-page-mastery.com it also means that by now there have been quite a few books written about Joomla! from various perspectives to assist both the developer as well as the end-user.

    3. Some other good reasons to use Joomla!

One of the most attractive features of using Joomla! is the fact that is so very easy to extend its functionality. You can build anything from a brochure website to a full-featured shopping cart or interactive membership site. This is because there are over 3500 add-ons and plugins available to extend its functionality. This ranges from shopping carts, image galleries, video plugins, forums, blogs, project management tools, etc etc

The Joomla templating system also makes it easy to change the look and feel of your site without having to redo the whole site from scratch. You can literally change the whole graphic design/look of the site in a matter of seconds while retaining the content. There are also over 2000 templates, most of them free, available to change the look and feel of your site.

    4. But again, why Joomla! Why not Wordpress, for example?

I have to admit, Wordpress is also extremely popular and Wordpress also makes it extremely easy to add new pages. Wordpress also has numerous free templates available and it makes Wordpress an extremely attractive option to build websites quickly and easily but it must always be kept in mind that Wordpress is essentially a blogging platform. Although it also has numerous plugins available to extend its functionality, it just does not have the raw power with regards to its underlying infrastructure to allow it to easily plug in something like a shopping cart, for example.

So what is the catch? It can't be all roses?

Having worked with Joomla! for a couple of years (and before that, with its predecessor, Mambo) I can tell you exactly what the shortcomings are:

    1.    Joomla's membership capabilities fall far short of what they could be. There is very limited support for various access groups and access levels.

    2.    Because it is so popular, it attracts a lot of attention and Joomla! sites get hacked quite often. The only solution for this is to be aware of your server security settings and to upgrade regularly to stay abreast of the latest Joomla! security updates.

    3.    Joomla! might be a bit top-heavy for smaller sites, although it still remains the tool of choice for even my smaller sites - it does leave room for expansion later without having to upgrade to a different tool or product!

    4.    Joomla!'s native search engine friendliness in the older versions leave a lot to be desired, although this has received attention in the latest upgrade. Despite this drawback, most of my Joomla! sites perform well in the search engines due to judicious use of various plugins to rectify this shortcoming.

Altogether, Joomla! is an excellent tool to easy on the eye and easily extendable.

  • 12 Tips for Designing an Artist Website That Showcases Your Art

Posted on March 10th, 2009 admin No comments
    Beautiful Artist Websites asked:

    Summary

Here’s the scoop on what you must know when designing a website to showcase your art, impress galleries, and win over collectors. Learn how to avoid the mistakes most emerging artists make when creating their online portfolio.

    1.You need an artists website

Any artist who can classify themselves as either “emerging” or “mid-career” will definitely benefit from having their own website to promote their work. At this stage of your career it is important to be able to have a place where anyone in the world can easily access and view your work.

2.Know who you are trying to impress

Are you trying to engage a Soho gallery to sell your $20,000 paintings or sell $5 prints to children in Korea? That Soho gallery might not be impressed when they see your online-store selling prints and art cards – but on the other hand, you could make a very handsome living if you really knew how to market those art cards.

3.Make your website fit with your overall art marketing strategy

A website is most effective when it is part of a larger overall marketing strategy for your art. This includes mailings, lots of in-person gallery visits and presentations, regular (physical) showings of your work, and developing relationships with the art world. An effectively planned website can greatly compliment and simplify your other marketing efforts.

4.There is a real market for art on the internet

The internet is quickly becoming an accepted place to showcase your art to collectors and arts professionals. They might still want to see your work in person before they buy, but the fact remains: they saw it first on your website! Having an online art presence is very important at this time.

5.Have your own website and a website portfolio service

A website portfolio service (e.g. www.absolutearts.com or www.art-exchange.com is like an online slide registry. For a fee you can upload images of your work together with a bio, artist statement, and resume. They have many visitors and are a convenient way to make your work accessible to potential clients. The down side is that they don’t display your work well, and there is little flexibility in how the art is showcased.

Your own website, on the other hand will require more work to promote, but you’ll be able to present the work in the most beautiful way. Remember the times you’ve been taken into the dimmer room in a commercial gallery? How that art which looked fairly good on the main gallery wall suddenly became something you had to take home? That’s how a good artist’s website should showcase your work.

We recommend both options – they are a perfect compliment.

    6. Have a website that collectors and art professionals will enjoy

Here are some common elements which most dealers and galleries would agree on for your website design:

    - Keep the site simple and elegant with the focus on the art itself and don’t overpower the art with a site that looks too busy

    - Avoid advertising such as banner adds or sidebar adds. If you must have them, put them in a separate “resource” section

    - Avoid complex effects like flash movies. In the time it takes to play your exotic entry page, your visitor may have moved on. Include your bio, artist statement, resume, contact information, gallery(s) of your work, contact information, and a pricelist.

    Showcase your work beautifully

You need to have visual design skills to create a beautiful artist website. Here are some points to get you started:

    - Most Important: Use high-quality, professionally-photographed images. Excellence in, excellence out!

    - Keep the website simple and elegant with the focus on the art.

    - Create multiple galleries to compliment the work – just as a good physical gallery would do.

    - Choose colors that compliment (not overpower) the work. Think of the colors you would use in a physical gallery to showcase your work – neutral colors like crème, white, gray, and good safe choices.

    - Think “minimalist” not “busy” for the layout.

    - Keep your copy (text) brief. Let the art speak for itself!

7.Bring collectors and galleries to your website

Its no use having that stunning website sitting in hyperspace. Make it work for you! Here are the ways to bring quality visitors:

Search Engines: If your website has been well optimized for search engines, a search on your name or your style of art should bring up your website in the first few pages of results.

Letters of Introduction: A letter of introduction sent to a gallery or dealer is a very effective way to bring a qualified visitor to your website. Better still is to include a brochure or postcard of your work with the letter.

Advertising online or in magazines: For example, if your art is minimalist and modern in style, a banner add on an interior design website focused on the same minimalist ethic could draw a lot of traffic to your site.

You need to be able to sell your work on the internet.

But there are many ways to do it. More important than anything is that you have clear and up-to-date contact information on your website. If a buyer likes your work enough to bring out their checkbook, they will normally be happy to call you to close the sale.

It’s also handy to be able to sell directly from your website, especially if you sell lower-cost reproductions. There are simple and cost-effective ways to do this.

    8. Think again before designing your own website.

    - Have you really added up the total cost? Here are some questions to consider before you start designing:

    - Do you have visual design skills/training?

    - Can you wait several months for the site to be ready?

    - Can you afford to give up a month or more of your valuable artist time?

    - Do you have all the computer software and the relatively-new computer needed to build a high-quality website?

    - Are you fully trained in your design software?

Can you answer “Yes” to all of the above? If so, you might think about doing it yourself. Otherwise, hire a designer!

    9. Choose your website-designer thoughtfully

The most important thing here is to remember what you are trying to create – a beautiful online gallery space to elegantly show your beautiful work – this is very different from building a high-volume website selling printer ink cartridges and paper rolls!

Look for the ability to design a space to present your work. One way to do this is to find artist websites that you like and then contact the artist to get the name of their designer.

    10. Know what you should pay

Artist’s website development prices range from a few hundred to tens of thousands of dollars. Typically, bigger design firms have larger overheads and will be significantly more expensive. On the other hand, Joe down the street can probably build you a website for $200 – but you probably don’t want that website!

At Beautiful Artist Websites we have packages ranging from $700 to $2000 for simple elegant artists websites with different levels of functionality. We can also develop fully customized sites to your specifications with prices based on requirements.

  • Something About Free Web Hosting

Posted on March 8th, 2009 admin No comments
    Web Hosting asked:

World never ever run on the idea of one-sided benefit, mutual benefit is accomplished one way or the other. This very concept ere is applicable on free Web hosting also. But before that one must what the hosting term is; it is a process of accumulating files onto a web server so that through a web browser visitors can evaluate it.

Webmasters who have recently built the sites always face a dilemma in choosing an appropriate host for his/her site, they get magnetized towards free host providers which are available throughout the cyber world, however, as discussed previously, the service provided by a free web host is not actually free as it declares, it has it’s own drawbacks such as lack of sovereign domain name for the user.

In the case of a new webmaster, selection of ideal host can be a daunting task and even when it comes to free web host; the choice should be selective one, because the majority of free web hosts aim to exploit their users. Moreover, as user counters some of the drawbacks such as assisting a small server place and inability of utilizing the FTP clients, lack of domain name, and ample amount of ads via the Web Company and scarcity of benefits, needs to be faced while searching for a free hosting. The web hosts attempts to wrap up their costs by publishing their or any other companies ads on their user’s website.

One should account about few things, before deciding about a host, it includes requirements of the user, features offered by the host, space allowed by the host, any statistics, what form of domain name offered by the host, can user use his/her own domain name or rather provide name servers, do the host provide feature of email address, type and location of advertisements on user’s site? Firm answers of all these questions are must before coming to any of the conclusion.

If one talk about the requirements, then now a day’s websites are available in two forms static or dynamic, majority of hosts prefer static hosting and if a user’s website is dynamic then he/she should search for a host providing the potential to host the website with the use of scripting languages. Dynamic services are provided by only few companies but with several restrictions, such as no data availability, etc. Same happens with availability of space which is in the range of 5MB to 50 MB, changing with respect to other factors; companies extract more benefits as they provide more space to the user. There are many free hosts who don’t provide the use of own domain names as it is not beneficial for them. That is the reason why most of the time the user’s web address becomes www.myname.freehosting.com.

Further to long URLs accounts, a further contentious issue is their reliability. It is generally believed that free host providers means hosts with old servers and giving free space wrapping up the amount through free advertisement. This is the reason why majority of free web hosts don’t provide the guarantee of servers running through out the day excluding general breakdowns? Another problem lies in scarcity of bandwidth providing, it may create problem when user’s site starts gathering a large amount of traffic and bandwidth extends its genuine limit.

Hence after judging all the factors one can say that free web hosting is not that bad as it looks, here one can surf without many charges. One may need to counter some of the restrictions but it is a boon to newcomers who want to do something new on the web.

  • Building Websites With Advanced Technology

Posted on March 4th, 2009 admin No comments
    James Schramko asked:

ll seen how fast new technologies can influence how we communicate with each other. Nowhere else is it more evident that with the internet.

There are Social Networking Sites that have added a new meaning to the word community. There is a new technology know as XML that allows functions that were unheard of a couple years ago. Further, and some see as the biggest leap yet, it is not necessary to have a computer to access the internet now!

Mobile phones are now available that come complete with fully functional web browsers and the more basic web browsers! Version 2 of the best website building software refuses to be left in the past.

With every new technology that emerges, you can count on developers of this software to be there with updated functionality and new features to help you utilize all of these great new discoveries.

    The Mobile Site Wizard

There are some mobile phones out there that come equipped with fully functional web browsers that can easily access any website on the internet. However, due to restrictions in just how much data a phone can handle, most mobile web browsers are streamlined versions of the ones we all know from our home computers.

Another great limitation is the screen size of these phones. Your website may have a layout so beautiful that its worthy of being printed on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, but if your visitor is using a phone and can only see a small portion at a time, the effect is ruined.

Well, the developers of this highly regarded software thought of this and came up with an answer.

Following the design of all their other great and easy to use wizards, they now offer the Mobile Site Wizard. By using this simple wizard, the webmaster can automatically convert your website to a format that has been designed specifically for us with WAP browsers and mobile phones.

Now, your site's visitors can access your content from anywhere and have a great experience regardless of whether they use their home computers or their mobile phones.

    Social Networking and XML

Social networking sites have taken the world by storm, counting subscribers on every continent. With so many people using this new form of networking, you have the opportunity to get new visitors and customers for your website.

Social networking tools have been built into this revolutionary software package, allowing you to insert links to your pages with the aim of them becoming viral more quickly. And don't worry, despite the way it sounds, on the web, viral is a good thing!

XML also presents great new options on the internet. This software supports XML Page Syndication that allows you to quickly create RSS feeds that you can syndicate across the web.

This feature is a great way to build traffic with your existing content, and more traffic is always good.

  • Concept of Shared Web Hosting

Posted on March 1st, 2009 admin No comments
    Web Hosting asked:

After designing of website next important thing is to get it hosted on the internet. The task is not at easy as there are so many companies offering various types of web hosting packages like shared web hosting, dedicated web hosting, managed web hosting etc. Now the problem is which one to use?

In general it is considered a good idea to go for shared web hosting if the user is in a small business and wants to save cost. However before finalizing the deal it is good to know what is shared web hosting service and what are the merits and demerits of shared web hosting.

    Defining shared hosting:

If extremely high performance and high bandwidth are not the points in question, then shared web hosting service can be a most convenient and economic way of hosting web sites.. As name implies, in case of shared web hosting service, the web server that hosts the web pages is shared by several other websites. Talking about number of websites on a shared hosting server, they can be in thousands. Now due to the fact that just one server is fulfilling the requirements of many other websites, the plus point is they can offer cheap prices for their server.

As there are so many websites hosted on a single web server, still there is no pint of worry for the user as the web hosting providers will not compromise on any kind of security and performance issues in case of shared hosting servers. Not only that, shared hosting web servers are operated, monitored and look after around the clock by IT professionals, so as to minimize server downtimes.

Shared hosting servers run on UNIX or other multi-user operating system and each website hosted on the web server is provided a separate account in the operating system. These websites hosted on shared servers are provided unique shared IP addresses and are provided with a fix amount of web resources.

The following are some of the merits and demerits of shared web hosting:

    Merits:

    1. Cost effective: Due to the fact that many websites are hosted on a single web server, web hosting providers provide economic shared web hosting services. Generally, the cost is as low as $5-10 per month for shared web hosting services. Now-a-days due to cut throat competition in web hosting industry, one can find several web hosting companies offering huge web space and bandwidth with as high as 1000 MB disk space and 40 GB bandwidth.

    2. Feasible: Due to the fact that shared hosting web servers are operated, monitored and look after around the clock by IT professionals, who are experts in their respective field, one can concentrate more effectively on his/her web business and the problem of downtime and maintenance will not bother him/her any more.

    3. Utility options: In case of shared web hosting, though web resources are shared, utility options are provided by the hosting company so that user can manage his/her website using control panel or similar tools. User is having an option to upload files, modify /remove web pages, add database, check web statistic etc. Not only that, user is also provided facility to create domain name specific e-mails accounts.

    4. Efficient: Now-a-days shared web hosting service usually comes with web space and bandwidth that are more than sufficient for small business websites. Efficiency lies in the fact, that in addition to above, one can add more resources and can even overrun the web space or bandwidth usage.

    Demerits:

    1. Problem with response time: As the web server is shared, websites in the shared web hosting have to face problem of slower server response time as compared to dedicate server hosting.

    2. Problem of Reliability: In case of shared web hosting, problem of reliability remains as usually web hosting providers may take care of the security and performance of the shared server but it is also possible that some of websites hosted on the shared server run a nasty program or script or over-utilize the resources, resulting in bringing down the web server. Thus due to fault of one all websites have to suffer downtimes and inaccessibility in case of shared web hosting.

    3. Problems related to sharing: As discussed above also, due to fault of one all users have to face the problem for example if there is any one "bad" website in shared web server, due to it all websites on the server can be banned altogether by ISP or search engine due to shared IP address. However it is worth to note that one can always pay extra to get a dedicated IP address to avoid the above problem.

    4. Problems related to Security: As many websites shared one server, problem of security always remains in case of shared web hosting as it is quite easy to hack one’s sensitive datas by another on the same server.

Thus in conclusion it can be said that before deciding to deal with shared web hosting, one should consider all the merits and demerits of shared web hosting as highlighted above. One should not forget the success of his/her business depends upon his/her website which in turn depends upon good host provider.

  • Some Tips On How To Build A Photography Website

Posted on February 19th, 2009 admin No comments
    manjitsingh asked:

If more photographers knew how to build a photography website, they would easily take their photography business to the next level. Most photographers know that without a website, they aren't taken seriously. for visit to:- www.web-audios-plus.comA photographer that is not taken seriously is simply not successful. This is known and understood by most. What isn't known as well is "how to build a photography website."

Building websites is like riding a bicycle and like driving a car. Both are methods of transportation that require specific knowledge and specific skills for each. For the most part, the specific "how-to" knowledge is very simple and very easy - for those who already "know!" If you don't know the specific skills required (regardless of how "easy" and "simple" they are), it might as well be "rocket science!"

Knowing how to build a photography website has been a serious challenge for many photographers, until now.

    The Myth of "Web-Designers"

Similar to transportation options, someone else can be hired to do the work. Usually, this is a "web-designer." This isn't the best option for the long term. Web-designers can design, build and publish your website - but they don't (can't) "drive it" for you. Besides, building and publishing a website is only about 10% of what it takes to have a successful and profitable photography website.

The Myth of "Simple and Easy"

There are many website building products available. A great many of them are very, very good. Quite a few of them are actually "great!" However, too many of them have their instructions and directions written by people that already "know" how to build a photography website (and wrongly assume that the rest of us "know" what they know).

Often the "simple and easy" products require us to take the tedious time to learn far more than we really wanted to know. And we still find that "simple and easy" is relative. It isn't a matter of intelligence or being smart. Photographers would rather spend their time "doing" photography - not becoming an "internet-techno-wizard!"

Also, many of the "simple and easy" photography websites wrongly assume that "one-size-fits-all."

    Website Builders To The Rescue

The advancement of technology has, once again, come to the rescue of photographers. "Website Builders" are the tools that put the full capacity and control of how to build a photography website totally in our hands! Really! And, many of the great website builders are FREE! As you may know, on the internet, free has value. Many vendors are so confident in the superior quality of their products that they offer them for free. To most people the process of building a web site remains somewhat of a mystery. This confusion probably stems from the fact that there is a cornucopia of web sites on the Internet. Even with wide variety of sites, every single one can be divided into two sections: front-end and back-end.

The front-end is the first thing that it is designed. It encompasses the look and feel of a web site. This is probably the most established part of the web site production process. Design has been around since Guttenberg printed his first bible. Much of what has been used in print media (especially art magazines) has transferred to the web.

Most well thought out web sites start off with sketches on paper. We like using the big huge box of crayons, the one with the crayon sharpener built in. Most of the colors in the "big box" are pleasing to the eye and are web friendly. If you use begin paying attention to sites you'll notice that only a few colors are actually used, 256 to be exact. Only about 100 of those won't give you a headache when you look at them. On request we will give these early designs to a client that wants to control the look and feel of their site. The site, of course, never ends up looking like the early designs. The same idea and concept is there but because of restrictions colors and whole images are lost.

This brings us to the next part of the front-end, the actual site creation. This is what many people view as the most important, which is what separates a professional looking site from an amateur one.

The images are created using products from across the board. Mainly, designers stick to industry standards like Photoshop and Illustrator. After getting the basic image in terms of proportions and size the designer should create the static HTML page.

This is the basic page you would see if you viewed the page source. This is one of the most rewarding, most hated and most tedious parts of the web design process. Each browser displays a page differently. Since most users either use Internet Explorer 4+ or Netscape 4.5 we cater to those two. Sometimes we build a different site for each, trying to maintain the same layout.

That concludes the front-end section. Personal sites and some small business sites stop here. While this may be acceptable today, tomorrow any web site hoping to attract and keep visitors is going to have a strong back-end.

There are many sites and website designers that offer premade templates; these have the entire graphical layout that a page needs.

For those with little or no experience with website design software, templates have quickly become a practical solution to professional website design. Most of the top end sites offer a huge selection of very impressive, easy-to-edit website templates. All you have to do is check your email containing the link to download the .zip file. The html in these templates is compatible with Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Frontpage. The major advantage is the price, they run anywhere from $20 to $70. Another great advantage is you don't have to hire a web designer, who usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to produce a page of such high quality. Webmasters, either novice or expert, can easily save thousands of dollars on design fees by using website templates.
